Second exam held Friday 9.1. 1998 9-12 lecture hall S4,
enroll through Topi or through the list on the course notice board!
The homework (7/11) is to sum up the contents of each lecture
into two questions and answering them. The questions should measure
deep understanding of the subject, but answering them should not require
any other information on the subject than that presented in lectures. Answers
should be no longer than 100 to 200 words per question. We did accept longer
answers on the first round, but LONG ANSWERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED. This
is not the time to start writing novels. The homework of each lecture is
to be returned before the next seminar session via e-mail in ASCII-format
in the body of the message (no attachments) to the address S38001@Luuri.Hut.Fi
and only to this address. Sending homework to some other address in
our lab (to the course assistant or professor) could end up in your
message going to the bit heaven. The subject of the message should be "Luento
X", where X stands for the session number. This because we are using
automagic e-mail sorting. Remember to include your name, your student
number and session number in the beginning of the message as well.
The exam is held on monday 8.12. 17-20 lecture hall
S4 and can also be passed by writing a referate/summary of one of these
books:
Lynn Ellis: Evaluation of R&D Proceesses:
Effectiveness Through Measurements
Alex Gillespie: Access Networks: Technology and
V5 Interfacing
Donal O'Mahony, Michael Peirce, Hitesh Tewari:
Electronic Payment System
If you want to write a referate on some other book contact Prof.
Kantola. Details on the referate can be
found here.
