Date: 27.3.98 Friday Time: 12pm - 15 pm .... Place: Nokia Telecommunications: Switching Platforms R&D, Circuit Switching The excursion is one of the exercises of the course!

12.00-13.00 Juhani Törnqvist: Welcoming, 15min Markku Ruuskanen: Design of the switch hardware, 35min Discussion, 10min Coffee Break, 10min 13:10-13.45 Seppo Fadjukoff/NN: Switching circuits, schwitch control and diagnostics, 25min Discussion 10min 13:45-14.20 Jyri Peltonen: Control of switching and routing, switching states, 25min Discussion 10min Presentation of the demonstration in the laboratory, 10min 14:20-15.15 To the laboratory... 10min Seppo Taanila: Demostration in the laboratory, 45min 15:30- 20.00 Transportation by a bus from Valimotie 10 to the Sauna.... Sauna.... with snacks, beer and other refreshments ... untill to 20.00 ................................................ Mestarisaunat: Sturenkatu 27 A, Helsinki Two saunas, two dressing rooms, pool, warmed top teracce and wood in the fireplace ... Towels e.g. included... but take your own swimsuit with you, if you like to swim back-stroke... Bar with beer and a sauna hostess... Kaksi saunaa ja kaksi pukuhuonetta, uima-allas ja lämmin kattoterassi ja avotakassa tuli. Baarissa B-oikeudet ja saunaisäntä .... Paikalla on pyyhkeet, pesuaineet yms. mutta ota omat uikkarit mukaan jos pidät selkäuinnnista... ..................................................

Excursion to Nokia Telecomunications is an exercise:

You have to write 3 questions with about 100 words answers, about what you have LEARNED in the excursion. Try to reflect in your answer, what you been taught in the lectures and what you have seen/heared in the excursion (...except the moments in the sauna/pool ...).
You have to return the questions and answers latest 3th April 98 to the locker "S-38.110" of the laboratory
The excursion is one of the exercises, so your answers have the same effect to the marking of the course as any other of the exercises.
